Asad Shamim has almost 20 years of experience in the field of Information Technology.  Asad founded AAJ Technologies and leads the technology teams as the Chief Technology Officer.  Asad is a visionary in the field of technology and is the backbone of the impeccable solutions created by AAJ Technologies for our clients.  He is a leader at understanding business needs, new technology and legacy systems; and recommending and implementing solutions that provide for greater corporate efficiencies and greater ROI.

Asad Shamim saw long ago the power of Microsoft technology solutions and positioned AAJ Technologies to primarily support those Microsoft tools along with other leading software and infrastructure leaders.  It is Asad’s technology solution commitment and his passion for education that drives the entire AAJ Technologies team to continue to excel at achieving certifications, leading the state of Florida and beyond for MCAD, MCSD and .NET certified employees.

Asad Shamim continues to win accolades and garner success for his personal quest for knowledge and understanding beyond technology and into the minds and business situations of AAJ clients. He has extensive experience with systems development in leading technologies including wireless, web and e-commerce, and project management, and he has wide-ranging experience covering several industries such as Banking, Cruise Lines, Transportation, Insurance, and Healthcare.

Ed Kirchmier has joined the management team of AAJ Technologies as Director of Project Delivery from Carnival Corporation where he managed corporate IT initiatives across Carnival’s cruise line brands.  Ed has a strong project management and systems implementation background with 18 years of consulting experience managing technology solutions and services for many Fortune 500 companies, including Ryder, Apple Computer, Burger King, Cendant Corporation, IVAX, Allstate, and CNA Insurance.  Ed previously spent two years at CommerceOne (B2B marketplace provider) and seven years at Accenture (formerly Andersen Consulting).  Ed is an Electrical and Computer Engineering graduate of the University of Notre Dame.

Colleen Taylor has extensive experience providing quality assurance, project management, and systems implementation / training on major IT initiatives and commercial software product development in the healthcare and financial industries. Colleen previously worked for Xcelerate, an e-business solution provider; CareCentric, formerly Simione Central, a leading home healthcare / HME software solution provider; and M&I Data Services developing mortgage banking software applications.  Colleen received her Bachelor of Science and Masters from Florida State University.

She brings a wealth of experience to the AAJ Healthcare practice.  Her background includes experience with patient registration, billing, medical records, scheduling, inventory, and back-end financials.  In addition, she has management experience in hospital administration, which includes admissions and business office experience.

Vicky Durkin executes marketing initiatives for AAJ Technologies' products and services.  She brings over 20 years experience in market analysis and communications working for the country's largest media companies. Vicky conducted primary/secondary research for product development and initiated product launches at Knight-Ridder/McClatchy, the third largest newspaper and Internet publisher in the United States. At Knight-Ridder/McClatchy she was awarded the MAX award by the Marketing Division for superior performance. 

Vicky further developed her marketing expertise in database/direct marketing and advertising campaign development for national and local clients at Tribune, the largest employee-owned media company with businesses in publishing, interactive and broadcasting. While at Tribune, Vicky was awarded the Advertising Division’s excellence award in Database Marketing for the development of a strategic response analysis for a national manufacturing client. She was also awarded the company's President's Award for Outstanding Performance in Marketing and the Presentation of the Year award for repositioning the company as a "must buy" to clients. 

Vicky holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Communications from Florida International University and is active with various professional organizations in South Florida.   

Nadeem Akhter has extensive experience working as a lead architect on large-scale application development projects encompassing e-commerce, content management systems, document management systems, and systems integrations.  There’s no one better to solve a major problem or lead a technical team.

Nadeem holds a Masters degree in Computer Science along with virtually all meaningful Microsoft certifications including MCSD (.NET), MCAD (.NET), MCSD (traditional), MCDBA, and MCSE. He was one of the first 50 Microsoft Certified Application Developers (MCAD .NET Certification Track) worldwide. In the Web Services beta exam offered by Microsoft, he scored so high that Microsoft management invited him (along with 3 others worldwide) to their Redmond offices to discuss his thoughts on the examination content and process to improve development of the test.  All this, and he can explain workflows and processes to the most basic system users.

Additionally, Nadeem is a certified Java programmer (SCJ2P). He is a regular contributor to several online publications and has won several awards for solving complex problems and suggesting best solutions within the Software Engineering arena.
