AAJ Technologies was of 10 technology solution providers hand-picked by Microsoft for their newest healthcare product, HealthVault Community Connect. As part of this exclusive list of technology companies, AAJ will work closely with Microsoft to help launch and sell the product to hospitals. Community Connect is a new software solution for hospitals designed to help them improve care coordination and engage patients and their families in managing their own health. It enables hospitals to give patients and referring physicians access, after discharge, to electronic copies of the patient’s personal health data generated at the hospital. The product also lets patients preregister for hospital appointments online using their electronic personal health information to populate hospital forms in advance. AAJ will be presenting and discussing Community Connect at the South Florida Healthcare Forum in Ft Lauderdale on August 11, 2010.

The online permit system was developed for the Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Agency (FWC). Working with the FWC, AAJ Technologies designed the permit system to automate the application process. The solution accelerates the review process, thereby greatly decreasing the time for granting of approvals.

This threatened species is benefiting from AAJ Technologies (www.aajtech.com) online, wildlife permit system developed for the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (www.floridaconservation.org). This online permit system is available to those who want to relocate the gopher tortoises and certify their land as a short-term or long-term protected recipient site. The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) is encouraging applicants to “go green” by using the new online application to shorten processing time, ensuring the safety of the gopher tortoises found in 67 Florida counties. The paperless system advances the Agency’s “go green” efforts, promoting stewardship among Florida residents.
The online, wildlife permit system was designed to speed up the application process for FWC to review and grant approvals faster which will in turn decrease the deaths of the threatened gopher tortoises. The AAJ Technologies project team focused on creating a system that completely automates FWC’s criteria for permit approval.

Fort Lauderdale, Florida – (December 9, 2004) – A group of technology companies in South Florida has launched a local chapter of the fast-growing International Association of Microsoft Certified Partners (IAMCP). The new chapter will be led by Jim McKeen, Business Development Manager at AAJ Technologies in Fort Lauderdale and Howard Swerdloff, President at Winning Applications in West Palm Beach.
“The IAMCP is turning up its volume in 2004 to let Microsoft certified partners, particularly those in this area, know of the great gains and benefits of membership and participation,” said McKeen, who will serve as chapter president for the year. “We’re seeking member companies who understand that IAMCP is designed to help them grow, provide global solutions and work with other tech companies offering complementary IT solutions.”
Reginald Howatson, president of the international non-profit Texas Corporation, reports that the IAMCP operates more than 15 chapters worldwide and 11 chapters in North America. The organization, which is sponsored by Microsoft Corp., is comprised of Microsoft partners – Certified Partners, Business Solutions Partners and Registered Partners.

Larry Jackson joins AAJ Technologies as Director of Technology. Larry is an Engineering & Computer Science graduate of the University of Pennsylvania.
Ed Kirchmier joins AAJ Technologies as Director of Project Delivery. Ed comes to AAJ from Carnival Corporation where he was managing corporate IT initiatives across Carnival's cruise line brands. Ed has a strong project management background with 17 years of experience managing technology solutions and services for many Fortune 500 companies including Ryder, Burger King, IVAX, Allstate and CNA Insurance and spent seven years honing his practice at Accenture (formerly Anderson Consulting) in Chicago. Ed is an Electrical and Computer Engineering graduate of the University of Notre Dame.
